Random NFL Team Generator

Pick a random NFL team for Madden, a fantasy draft order, a Super Bowl pool or a friendly bet. Filter by conference and division, pick several teams with no repeats, or spin the team wheel.

How to use it

1. Press Pick a team.
2. Filter by conference (AFC or NFC) and division.
3. Need a matchup? Set “How many?” to 2.
4. Assigning teams to a group? Set it to the number of players and keep “No duplicates” on.

Keep, copy and share your teams

Every result has a lock button. Locked results stay put when you generate again, so you can keep the teams you like and reroll the rest. The history panel keeps your earlier results, and the back arrow takes you to the previous set if you generated one time too many. Press Wheel to put the current results on a spinning wheel and pick one with a bit of drama.

Use Copy to copy the results as a plain list, CSV or JSON, or download them as a file. Share copies a link that shows exactly the same results to whoever opens it, which is handy for games, classes and group chats.

How the league is organized

The NFL has two conferences, the AFC and the NFC. Each conference has four divisions of four teams: East, North, South and West. Use the filters to pick from one conference or one division, which is handy for fantasy football draft orders, mock drafts and picking a team to follow in a new season. To set up a random matchup, generate two teams with “No duplicates” on.
